From Mexico City, take the Mexico - Pachuca highway; in Pachuca, take highway number 105 that goes from Pachuca to Tampico. Here there is a detour that leads to the Mountain Corridor route and from there, take the detour to Chico.
There are two alternatives to get to the National Park:
1. From Pachuca on the Corredor de la Montaña highway, you arrive at the distributor road at the side of Real del Monte, make cloverleaf on the bridge to take the old highway to Pachuca, immediately find on the right the state highway to Mineral del Chico, which is 20 kilometers from this point.
2. Through the downtown area of the city of Pachuca take the sloping streets of the San Juan Pachuca mine to exit through the El Cerezo neighborhood whose main street becomes the state highway to La Estanzuela and El Cedral, where it joins the highway coming from Real del Monte.
From Pachuca, by car, you have to take the route known as 'Corredor de la Montaña' (Mountain Corridor) and you will be guided by the signs. The trip takes about half an hour. And by public transportation, from the Benito Juárez Market, about five blocks from Plaza Independencia in downtown Pachuca, there are buses. The combi should say 'Mineral del Chico Carboneras': it takes you directly to the National Park making a scenic tour and stops wherever you want or at the visitor's center. And the second option should say 'Mineral del Chico Estanzuela: it takes you directly to the town of Mineral del Chico, the route is shorter. To visit some sites in the National Park, you can walk or wait for a bus to pass by. To get to Peña del Cuervo, the only option is by car. - Transportation facilities

Visitor regulations in the Protected Area
1. Pay the fee established in the Federal Law of Rights.
2. Make exclusive use of the established routes and trails to traverse the area.
3. Food must be consumed in the areas designated for this purpose.
4. Respect the signage and subzones of the area.
5. Abide by the indications of the park's administrative personnel.
6. Provide the information requested by park personnel for informational and statistical purposes.
7. Deposit garbage in the containers placed for this purpose in the recreation areas and do not contaminate the park's soil or springs with waste.
8. Provide the necessary support and facilities for park and PROFEPA personnel when carrying out inspection, surveillance, protection, and control activities, as well as in emergency or contingency situations. and
9. Inform park personnel of any irregularities observed, as well as any actions that may constitute infractions or crimes. Camping activities in the park may only be carried out within the subzones designated for this purpose, according to the zoning established in the area's management program.
10. Camping activities are subject to the following prohibitions: Excavating, leveling, cutting, or clearing vegetation from the land where camping will take place, and erecting permanent camping facilities.
11. The users of automobiles, car-campers, as well as all motorized vehicles shall be subject to the following provisions: I. Pay the fee established in the Federal Law of Rights. II. To circulate exclusively on marked roads. III. Comply with the speed limits indicated by signage or, in the absence thereof, at less than 40 km/h. and IV. Park exclusively in the places marked for such purpose.
12. Bonfires may only be made in the public use subzone, within the areas designated for this purpose and with dead wood or firewood collected in said subzone.
