From Mexico City, take the Mexico - Pachuca highway; in Pachuca, take highway number 105 that goes from Pachuca to Tampico. Here there is a detour that leads to the Mountain Corridor route and from there, take the detour to Chico.
There are two alternatives to get to the National Park:
1. From Pachuca on the Corredor de la Montaña highway, you arrive at the distributor road at the side of Real del Monte, make cloverleaf on the bridge to take the old highway to Pachuca, immediately find on the right the state highway to Mineral del Chico, which is 20 kilometers from this point.
2. Through the downtown area of the city of Pachuca take the sloping streets of the San Juan Pachuca mine to exit through the El Cerezo neighborhood whose main street becomes the state highway to La Estanzuela and El Cedral, where it joins the highway coming from Real del Monte.
From Pachuca, by car, you have to take the route known as 'Corredor de la Montaña' (Mountain Corridor) and you will be guided by the signs. The trip takes about half an hour. And by public transportation, from the Benito Juárez Market, about five blocks from Plaza Independencia in downtown Pachuca, there are buses. The combi should say 'Mineral del Chico Carboneras': it takes you directly to the National Park making a scenic tour and stops wherever you want or at the visitor's center. And the second option should say 'Mineral del Chico Estanzuela: it takes you directly to the town of Mineral del Chico, the route is shorter. To visit some sites in the National Park, you can walk or wait for a bus to pass by. To get to Peña del Cuervo, the only option is by car. - Transportation facilities

Reglamento para el visitante en el ANP
1. Cubrir la cuota establecida en la Ley Federal de Derechos;
2. Hacer uso exclusivamente de las rutas y senderos establecidos para recorrer el área;
3. El consumo de alimentos se deberá realizar en las áreas designadas para tal fin por la Dirección;
4. Respetar la señalización y las subzonas del área;
5. Acatar las indicaciones del personal administrativo del parque;
6. Proporcionar los datos que les sean solicitados por el personal del parque para efectos informativos y estadísticos;
7. Depositar la basura en los contenedores colocados para tal fin en las áreas de uso recreativo y no contaminar con los desechos el suelo o los manantiales del parque;
8. Brindar el apoyo y las facilidades necesarias para el personal del parque y de la PROFEPA, cuando se realicen labores de inspección y vigilancia, protección y control, así como en situaciones de emergencia o contingencia, y
9. Hacer del conocimiento del personal del parque las irregularidades que hubieren observado, así como aquellas acciones que pudieran constituir infracciones o delitos. Las actividades de campismo en el parque se podrán realizar únicamente dentro de las subzonas destinadas para tal efecto, conforme a la zonificación establecida en el Programa de manejio del área
10. Las actividades de campismo estarán sujetas a las siguientes prohibiciones: Excavar, nivelar, cortar o desmontar la vegetación del terreno donde se acampe, y erigir instalaciones permanentes de campamento.
11. Los usuarios de automóviles, carro-casas (campers), así como todo vehículo motorizado deberán sujetarse a las siguientes disposiciones: I. Cubrir la cuota establecida en la Ley Federal de Derechos; II. Circular exclusivamente por los caminos señalizados; III. Atender a los límites de velocidad indicados mediante señalización o en su defecto a menos de 40 Km/h, y IV. Estacionarse exclusivamente en los lugares señalizados para tal efecto.
12. Las fogatas podrán realizarse únicamente en la subzona de uso público, dentro de las áreas destinadas para ello y con madera muerta o leña recolectada en dicha subzona.
