4. Southeast Route, 25 Km from Orizaba, Veracruz.

Private or rented car in the city of Orizaba or Córdoba, or hire tourist services in the cities of Orizaba, La Perla, Coscomatepec, Tlachichuca, or Chalchicomula de Sesma. There is no public transportation to the Protected Area.

Protected Area entrance fee
$60.37 MXN Entrance prices per person, per day, as collection of rights.
Senior citizens, pensioned and retired persons, disabled persons, and minors under 12 years of age will be exempt from the payment of fees, whose status will be accredited once they enter the Protected Area, if applicable, with the corresponding valid credential. A 50% discount will be applied to students and teachers with a valid credential, which must be presented upon entering the Protected Area.

Visitor regulations in the Protected Area
1. Contribute to conservation.
Your payment of fees and wearing the bracelet is the entrance to the Natural Protected Area, contribute financially to the conservation of these areas. If you wish to actively participate in conservation, contact the staff, guides or park rangers of the protected area.
2. Take care of your Natural and Cultural Heritage.
Natural Protected Areas are everyone's heritage. Take care of the animals and plants by avoiding extracting, feeding or disturbing any species. Respect archeological zones and/or other elements of tangible cultural heritage.
3. Beware of fire.
Fire is a potential risk for animals and plants in the Natural Protected Area because it can cause uncontrollable fires. Therefore, we recommend that you avoid them or bring gas stoves with you. Use only the areas specially designated for this purpose. Never leave materials that can cause fires and take care of your fire.
4. Handle your waste responsibly.
If there are garbage cans use them, otherwise please take your garbage with you.
5. Know and respect the local communities.
Much of the territory of a Natural Protected Area is owned by the communities that live in or around it. The communities and their inhabitants have customs and traditions that are very interesting, get to know them.
6. Enjoy the facilities and public use areas responsibly.
Ask about the facilities and areas for public use, these are for you to enjoy responsibly and not to cause negative impacts. Use existing trails and do not blaze new trails. Respect the signs.
7. Respect other visitors.
Remember that other visitors want to enjoy the Natural Protected Areas now and in the future. Respect other visitors by not making excessive noise or destroying what makes this area special. If you observe inappropriate behavior from other visitors, notify a park ranger.
8. Choose the ideal luggage.
Find out what the weather will be like in the Natural Protected Area and choose your clothing according to the weather forecast.
9. Respect the access roads.
Avoid taking your vehicle beyond the authorized sites, as they deteriorate the soil and vegetation. Do not drive into conservation areas.
10. For your safety, know the park rangers.
Register when entering the Natural Protected Areas, inform them about the activities you are going to do for your safety and in case of emergency. Obey the indications and recommendations given by the area's personnel to avoid accidents.
