Via the free highway to Cancún Kantunilkín to Chiquilá in 140 Km (2 hours); from the city of Mérida Yucatán via the free highway 180 to Cancún, with a distance of 245 Km (4.5 hours); and via Mérida - Cancún, (3 hours) with a distance of 240 Km.
- Transportation facilities
Public transportation. Collective transportation by van from Cancun and Playa del Carmen, private vehicles arriving at the port of Chiquilá. Afterwards you will have to take a ferry to Holbox Island.
- Mobility within the protected area
Visits to the Protected Area are by small boats (lancha), which can be hired on Holbox Island and Isla Mujeres.

Protected Area entrance fee
$108.66 MXN Entrance prices per person, per day, as collection of rights.
Senior citizens, pensioned and retired persons, disabled persons, and minors under 12 years of age will be exempt from the payment of fees, whose status will be accredited once they enter the Protected Area, if applicable, with the corresponding valid credential. A 50% discount will be applied to students and teachers with a valid credential, which must be presented upon entering the Protected Area.
