- Ways to get there
From Mexico City by air in 45 minutes; by land there are two routes: one is taking the Oaxaca-Pochutla highway, (it saves time and distance), with caution due to the curves and the Sierra, this road is cold and foggy and it is recommended to be well sheltered. The second option is to take the Mexico Acapulco highway, which has a warm climate and less curves and take the detour to Pinotepa Nacional and Huatulco, Oaxaca. The distance is 766 Km. and approximately 9 hours of travel.

To visit the Protected Area, you can go to the Santa Cruz dock, ask for the marine tour to Huatulco National Park or contact a tour company authorized to carry out land activities within this Protected Area.

Protected Area entrance fee
$120 MXN Entrance prices per person, per day, as collection of rights.
Senior citizens, pensioned and retired persons, disabled persons, and minors under 12 years of age will be exempt from the payment of fees, whose status will be accredited once they enter the Protected Area, if applicable, with the corresponding valid credential. A 50% discount will be applied to students and teachers with a valid credential, which must be presented upon entering the Protected Area.

1. Respect the environment and protect wild flora and fauna.
2. Prefer authorized guides and follow their instructions.
3. Remember: Look and do not touch!
4. Take pictures without flash.
5. Do not bring plants or animals into the Park.
6. Carry bags for your waste.
7. Do not buy souvenirs made from wild species.
8. Do not extract souvenirs such as corals, shells and snails.
9. Do not light bonfires, it helps to prevent fires.
10. Avoid making noise so as not to disturb the species.
11. Stay within designated areas.
12. Avoid using sunscreen and preferably wear long sleeves.
