To enter the Protected Area, you must first take a land route along Mexico Highway 307 and the Mahahual/Quintana Roo El Cafetal-Mahahahual Highway, and in Mahahual you must board a tourist boat with the corresponding authorization issued by the Península de Yucatán and Caribe Mexicano Regional Management Office of CONANP

$750 MXN Entrance prices per person, per day, as collection of rights.
Senior citizens, pensioned and retired persons, disabled persons, and minors under 12 years of age will be exempt from the payment of fees, whose status will be accredited once they enter the Protected Area, if applicable, with the corresponding valid credential. A 50% discount will be applied to students and teachers with a valid credential, which must be presented upon entering the Protected Area.

Reglamento para el visitante en el ANP
1. El ingreso al ANP solo se podrá realizar con prestadores de servicios turísticos que cuenten con la autorización correspondiente emitida por la Dirección Regional para Banco Chinchorro.
2. Se deberán de implementar las medidas de bioseguridad insular para evitar la reintroducción de alguna especie exótica invasora y con el fin de reducir la propagación del síndrome blanco (perdida de tejido vivo) en los arrecifes de coral.
3. Se deberá de desinfectar el equipo de buceo libre y autónomo previo a su uso en el ANP.
4. No tocar, acosar, alimentar, dañar o extraer a la fauna silvestre;
5. No pararse sobre los corales;
6. No se permite la pesca con arpón; o el uso de redes de pesca;
7. No tirar basura ni encender fogatas en la playa; evitar el uso de bloqueadores solares.
8. Prohibido pescar sin la autorización correspondiente.
9. Hoy en día, ningún prestador de servicios cuenta con la autorización para realizar actividades de aprovechamiento extractivo como es el nado o toma de fotografías para el cocodrilo, por lo que no es una actividad autorizada.
