Km 180.5 of Federal Highway 200, Pinotepa Nacional - Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, between Puerto Escondido and Pochutla. From the turnoff there is a 600-meter dirt road. It is located 242 kilometers from Oaxaca City, on Federal Highway 200 Oaxaca. At kilometer 181 of the Puerto Escondido - Pochutla Highway. From the city of Huatulco to the Protected Area is 68 km.

Protected Area entrance fee
$46.23 MXN Entrance prices per person, per day, as collection of rights.
Senior citizens, pensioned and retired persons, disabled persons, and minors under 12 years of age will be exempt from the payment of fees, whose status will be accredited once they enter the Protected Area, if applicable, with the corresponding valid credential. A 50% discount will be applied to students and teachers with a valid credential, which must be presented upon entering the Protected Area.

Visitor regulations in the Protected Area

5. Be careful with fire

13. During the arrival stay out of the nesting area.
14. Do not handle, touch, harass, disturb or harm sea turtles.
15. Do the tours on foot, in groups of no more than 10 visitors, forming a compact line and at intervals of 30 minutes between one group and another.
16. Do not take flash photography at any time during the tour.
17. The guide is the only one allowed to use a lamp (red light).
18. Visitors should remain at least 10 m. away from the turtle until it begins to lay its eggs.
19. Remain in a group and in silence at all times.
20. Visitors should follow at all times the indications of the personnel in charge of guiding them during observation activities in the sea turtle nesting habitat.
21. Allow hatchlings to move through the wet sand and enter the sea without assistance.
22. Hatchlings may not be handled for release.
23. Do not bring pets to the beach.
24. Do not leave garbage on the beach.
25. Do not drive motorized vehicles on the beach.
