Access is via the Transpeninsular Highway (Federal Highway 1). It starts at Km 118 on the Lázaro Cárdenas Parador Punta Prieta stretch. By the Gulf of California by federal highway 5 in the Puertecitos Laguna Chapala section. To the south at Paralelo 28 on the Transpeninsular Highway.

Reglamento para el visitante en el ANP
Las reglas en el centro de visitantes Llano del Berrendo son:
1. Respetar al personal y las instalaciones.
2. Respetar los senderos y señales
3. No correr, empujar ni gritar
4. No tocar las plantas ni los animales
5. No tocar ni molestar a los berrendos
6. No consumir alimentos, cigarrillos, chicles dentro de la estación
7. Se prohíbe entrar en estado de ebriedad y con bebidas alcohólicas.
8. No acceder con armas.
9. En el caso de actividades que se realizan con prestadores de servicios las reglas deberán estar apegadas a las establecidas en el Programa de Manejo del Área de Protección de Flora y Fauna Silvestre Valle de los Cirios, Reglas administrativas, Capitulo III: De los prestadores de servicios turísticos y capitulo IV: De los Visitantes.
